Aug. 28th, 2020 12:04 amHarrow sweeps back into Canaan House, retracing her steps to the room she shares with Gideon, who is still snoring horrifically. Probably a good sign.
She had already left a note:
I HAVE TAKEN THE KEYS AND GONE TO EXAMINE THE LABORATORY. DO NOT COME AND FIND ME.
She adds another now :
DO NOT LEAVE THE QUARTERS. I WILL ASK SEXTUS TO LOOK AT YOU.
She finds Sextus having a conversation with the radiant creature that is Coronabeth Tridentarius and interrupts ruthlessly.
She makes it all the way back to the bar when the Bar interrupts her with a pointed basket of bread. She grits her teeth, grabs a loaf and turns around.
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE. I HAVE LEFT SOME BREAD FOR YOU IN A DRAWER.
She doesn't make it all the way back before she turns around this time.
"GO ANYWHERE" IN THIS CASE IS DEFINED AS LEAVING THE QUARTERS TO GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION IN CANAAN HOUSE, WHICH YOU ARE BANNED FROM DOING.
She's on her way back to the Bar when she sees Protosilaus the Seventh lurking and narrows her eyes.
She makes one more trip to stash a flimsy polymer box in her cabinet, notices Camilla hasn't come yet, stops to harangue Palamedes again, then slams back through the door to the bar.
